Looks like tomorrow on Saturday is my Birthday.... that means I'm getting older.

You know this year I've been reminiscing my childhood more than ever. It's all have been A Nostalgia trip.

I miss being a kid. My favorite times, were getting up early to watch my favorite Saturday Cartoons . And back then, there was a lot to choose from. I'm not sure what the Saturday lineup is nowadays. Though, last time I checked there's the 4kids shows on the fox channel... And those shows are sad. They've really dumbed it down and the editing is terrible. It's like they can't have major conflicts in shows anymores.

What happend to the goods show like the SATAM Sonic the hedgehog series? .urh.. this is no offense to the SonicX fans out there, but it just looks really retarded.(though that's because 4kids just ruined the show like every other.)

But don't get me wrong, I watched stupid shows back when I was little. There were shows like the Super Mario Brothers show when i was 4 to 5 years and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when I was 6 to 7 years.  They were stupid and corny.... but i loved them. (Though when I recently watched some of the episodes of the Super Mario Show this year, I realized so many animation and character-voice mistakes on that than I did when I was a kid.)

Also.... what happened to all the olds nickelodeon Nicktoons? Last time I checked the only lineup was like (spongebob Squarepants and three to four other shows. Back then , They had a HUGE lineup at least 15 differents shows to watch during the day.

Though I haven't been watching television anymore and rather been doing schoolwork and art. There hasn't been anything interesting to watch.. either that or i'm just getting old XD.

One more thing before I go.
I wanted to make a couple comparisons of the toys that i played that changed over the years. To be honest I like the old ones better. And for those who are fans of the recent ones, it's to no offense. As I said, I'm just in a nostalgia mood.

Yeah, innocence was nice... but I wouldn't choose to go back to my childhood even if my life counted on it... ^^; It was a little too... rough.

Hey man you're not the only one who doesn't watch T.V. much anymore. It's not just you, the shows/channels DO suck nowadays. >> The only thing I even bother to watch on TV is The Misadventures of Flapjack, and Adventure Time.

Like I said here, in the blog asking "What's your favorite 90's cartoon": [link]

I miss my childhood.

Also Kenan and Kel, ending sentences with "PSYCHE!", settling things with rock paper scissors, mary mack, and bubblegum bubblegum.

Still have my original gameboy and my sega genesis.

Magic school bus, Wishbone, reading rainbow.

Collecting beanie babies.

Light up sneakers and VHS tapes.

Slap bracelets <3

Playing outside until it was dark because imagination existed.

I feel so sad when my little siblings come up to me and tell me they are bored because they have nothing to do aka someone else is watching TV so they can't watch/play their video games. I tell them to go outside and play and they respond by saying there's nothing to do outside.

Hearing that is frightening. Kids are supposed to have huge imaginations, and yet when I look at kids today I feel like imagination is some extinct creature.

Heck I remember once when I was little I asked my older brother if I could play his PS with him and he told me no. I said "Fine! I'll just go play my playstation."

And then I took a couple pieces of paper, drew some buttons on one piece of paper, cut out a top from another piece and taped it to the paper with buttons, and then cut out a disk and a controller. I even drew a tv screen with little video game characters on the screen and taped it to the wall. Then I proceeded to put the "disk" into my paper playstation, and I "played" it for a couple of hours.

Sorry to spam your comments with all that, but I miss my childhood now.

I'm 15 and don't watch TV unless there's a movie on... There's nothing TO watch. D: Especially the violence. XD That's a big no-no now. Whatever, though...
